New PEI Tariff Relief Fund Opens — Up to $50,000 for Business Diversification

Prince Edward Island businesses affected by U.S. tariffs and changing trade conditions have a new source of support.

The PEI Tariff Impact Relief Fund is now open, offering eligible businesses up to $50,000 in conditionally non-repayable funding, covering as much as 50% of eligible project costs.

Of particular interest to manufacturers, the program can support new export markets, interprovincial trade, new customer development, technology adoption, digitization, AI, productivity improvements and other activities that help businesses diversify.

Applications are being considered first-come, first-served, subject to available funding, making early action important.

For Canadian manufacturers and suppliers of furniture, cabinetry, building products, home furnishings and related products, programs such as this may provide an opportunity to accelerate market diversification and develop new routes to customers.

Picturethis3D is tracking this program along with federal, provincial and territorial trade-diversification initiatives across Canada.
